I’ve been fishing since I was a young boy (age 5). My parents even tell me how when I was younger I would keep them down at the lakes for hours upon hours until I caught a good fish. I used to ride my bike 5-6 miles around my area to fish my local spots as soon as I was old enough to leave my street.
About 4 years ago I bought my boat (Happy Hooker) from an uncle’s uncle who passed away. Older boat with a 50 hp but gets me out there as much as I need. Ever since I’ve fished off my boat, fishing has become more like a sport and art than just a hobby. I have gotten to be very competitive with my friends and family to the point where I now joined a fishing club and enter local tournaments. I fish on a regular basis to the point where most days I go out for 2 shifts. There’s nothing else in the world I’d rather be doing than fishing off my boat.
Before the Troutman, I usually fished a lot of slow baits, either soft plastics and/or jigs. Once in awhile I’d throw a spinner bait for kicks but never have I gotten as much excitement from a lure such as I have from the TROUTMAN RATTLE CLACKER. For one, I used to use spinner reels and said I’d never convert to bait casters. Well the TROUTMAN converted me right over once I realized how much a dream it casts with a bait caster. It’s really light for its size and when used properly (which isn’t difficult) slams fish all day and night. The top water action on this lure is amazing. To the point where I’ve used it for Pike fishing also and it worked just as effectively as it does for Bass. Just the fact that this lure is so versatile with swimming it to multiple depths makes it one of, if not the best, lure in the world.
